Dungeon Academy: No Humans Allowed!
I illustrated this book, written by Madeleine Roux for Harper Collins. It's set in the Dungeons & Dragons world, featuring all the classic creatures as an adopted human attends the monster school. In addition to the wraparound cover, there were over 80 interior illustrations.
The project started with exploring the main cast.
The cover started with a wide range of sketches.
The selected sketch was refined. A lot of the monsters were changed after this point and the blink dog was added to the crew.
Various options for the color palette. We landed on a combo of options 2 and 5.
