These are the maps for the first two books of my graphic novel series Lightfall. The top map shows the 'Sea of Light' region of the world of Irpa from the story. The second focuses on the 'North Rim' which is in the upper left corner. I love a good map, especially in a fantasy book. It's very satisfying to visually follow the paths of the heroes and also guess where they might go next.
These were some earlier sketches. I create the map while writing the story and am constantly revising both. It's like putting together a puzzle.
